Six. The first two are the province, the next two the district or khan, and the last two the commune or sangkat. For example 120101 is 12 Phnom Penh, 01 Khan Chamkar Mon, 01 Sangkat Tonle Basak. A code ending in 00 covers a whole district, and 0000 a whole province.

No. The Prakas sets codes down to commune and sangkat level, so a village (ភូមិ) uses the code of the commune or sangkat it belongs to.

Start with your house number, street and village, then the sangkat or commune, the khan or district, and the province, followed by the postal code. For example: House 12, Street 310, Sangkat Tonle Basak, Khan Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh 120101, Cambodia. Tap any sangkat on this site to copy its full address line.

Four Kandal district codes in those files differ from the signed Prakas; this site uses the Prakas.
